Mary Alice Dungan, 95, Casper, Wyoming, formerly of Oblong, Illinois, passed away peacefully at her home in Casper on Saturday September 15, 2012.

She was born in Oblong, Illinois, on August 11, 1917. Her parents were Eula Lucia and Ute Perrine. She married Valbert “Val” Dungan, also from Oblong, Illinois. They were married for 53 years until Valbert passed away in 1999.

They lived at the Pure Oil Camp, in Clay City, Illinois, then Newark, Ohio, where Valbert was the Division Office Manager until Unocal bought Pure Oil and moved operations to Olney, Illinois. In 1973, a transfer from Olney to Casper, Wyoming, was the last until Valbert retired in 1979.

Mary was a homemaker except for 12 years at Bi-Rite Drug Store, retiring in 1984. She was a lifelong member of the Methodist Church and was Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star in Clay City, IL.

Mary is survived by her son, Robert Dungan; daughter Lucia Heaton and husband J. W.; three grandchildren Angela & Sonny Burch, Tara M. Heaton and McKenzie S. Heaton; two great-grandchildren  Kayson and Kelsey Burch; three nieces, Nancy Sparks, Rita Kuenstler and Karen Davis; and one nephew, David Perrine.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; one granddaughter Kaylee Burch and a brother and sister-in-law Howard and Hazel Perrine.

Burial will be in the Oblong Cemetery, Oblong, Illinois.
